Meet Bruce, Lucas’ dad! Bruce works at all of our locations, moving from place to place throughout the week to connect with customers and ensure top-notch service with a smile.

He also provides support to all of our shops and staff. Bruce is the main operations guy who keeps all the intricate parts of Luc’s running smoothly.

With years of culinary experience and an amazing palate for pairing the right foods together, Bruce goes the extra mile to offer every guest a memorable experience.

He helps customers choose the best products by sharing his vast knowledge and passion for food. Bruce truly has a passion for educating customers and sharing his experiences with everyone!

Sonia Alle

Sonia is a vital force behind the scenes, ensuring the successful operations of the company. She grew up working in her family’s business but chose a different path, working as a nurse before retiring. She has now come full circle, returning to her roots and offering great food at Luc’s. Sonia’s knowledge and passion for our products come from growing up in her family’s deli/restaurant and her Italian/French heritage. She has wonderful memories of enjoying great food with her family and learning to cook from generations of amazing cooks. Sonia enjoys sharing family recipes and culinary tricks she learned from her family. She designs and makes all of our gourmet baskets, and they can be found in our online shop or at any of the year-round markets.

Lucas Alle

Lucas’ love for his grandpa’s business is the reason we brought Cosmos Smoked Meats to Calgary. His passion comes from summers spent with his grandpa Cosmo and Nana at outdoor markets.

He gained knowledge and wonderful stories from working, helping in the kitchen, and enjoying amazing food with his family. Lucas now travels to different locations throughout the week, sharing his passion and knowledge for great cheese & charcuterie.

Lucas also appreciates the opportunity to connect and learn from local farmers, artisans and vendors. He works with his dad and the management team on day-to-day operations and future plans for Luc’s European Meats.

Andreas was recruited by Sonia in the summer of 2015 from their time in Scouts. He grew with the company starting part-time at the outdoor markets while attending post-secondary school.

A people person with a love for great food, Andreas became a favourite among customers and vendors. He decided to stay with Luc’s after completing school and is now an integral part of the team, dedicated to creating an unforgettable cheese and charcuterie experience for customers.

He is dedicated to creating a workplace where the team is well-trained and supported. His enthusiasm for hospitality reflects the core values of family, food, and fun in the markets!

Eva has worked with Luc’s for over three years, she started as a part time sales associate and quickly worked her way to be a qualified Cheesemonger.

Regularly working at the West and South markets Eva is a delight for customers and co-workers alike.

With quick wit and attention to detail she is proud to assist in creating a personalized experience with stunning recommendations for any event.

Charcuterie Expert

Chris is a traditionally trained French chef, while he has been featured in various bistros and high-end restaurants throughout his over 20-year long career he is now a lead charcuterie expert at Luc’s.

Chris brings a wealth of knowledge in charcuterie and cheese production as he has travelled many continents in his pursuit of culinary excellence!

Chris’s boisterous personality bring fun and excitement to our shops with personalized tastings catering to customers tastes, while maintaining a high standard for shops and brand!

Marina
Deli Manager

Marina joined the Lucs team when the West market opened. She has previous deli experience as well as graphic design skills. Currently, she is in charge of the deli in the South and West markets. Her past deli experience is beneficial for providing suggestions and maintaining excellent customer service during busy days. Marina also ensures that our deli looks clean and fresh. Her graphic design experience has been helpful for various projects around our store. Marina’s warm personality makes her a natural fit at Lucs. She is always happy to help, whether it’s slicing your prosciutto with a smile or recommending cheese to enjoy with it!

Market Co-ordinator

Meet Montana, Luc’s wife. Montana manages all of our outdoor markets and welcomes you there, rain or shine.

Her Dutch/Polish heritage gives her a genuine love for all of our products, and she enjoys sharing her favorites with you.

Montana always listens to her customers’ special requests and works hard to ensure that their favorites are available.

She has been helping out since she married Luc six years ago.

Rob is one of the new cheesemongers at Luc’s European Meats. He has experience
working as a chef, kitchen manager, and caterer of gourmet foods for over 20 years.

Rob started at Luc’s after shopping for cheese with his family, he enjoyed the reserve Comte and customer experience so much that he applied to be a part of our team!

Rob can be found in any of our farmers markets locations and is highly experienced in creating unique
charcuterie boards, recommending pairings and helping perfect any meal!

Cheesemonger

Sean is a traditionally trained Italian Chef, while he used to spearhead his own restaurant in Vancouver for over 20 years he is now retired and enjoys sharing his vast depth of knowledge and technique with any who ask. Now a lead cheesemonger at Luc’s, Sean’s personality is hard to miss as he is excited and brings passion to the cheese counter every single day! Watch out for his expert wine pairing recommendations and ability to help teach the most novice charcuterie enthusiast to experts!
